Gardaí launch investigation after elderly woman was ROBBED in Dublin hospital22nd May 18 | News
An elderly woman has been left shaken after she was robbed while sitting in the waiting room of a Dublin hospital last week.
Aged in her late 70's, the defenceless woman had her bag containing her phone, money and other personal belongings stolen.
The incident happened last Wednesday16th May in St Columcille's Hospital in Loughlinstown.
Speaking to Dublin Live,
"A defenceless old lady in the security of a hospital waiting room.
One of the robbers had the nerve to sit beside her as If waiting himself , and after a while got up taking her bag, which was on floor between chairs beside her shopping bag."
An investigation has been launched after the incident was reported to the Gardai.
A spokesperson for Loughlinstown Hospital said:
"We can confirm that incident was reported in the Out-Patient Department of St Columcille's Hospital in Loughlinstown on Wednesday, 16th May.
The care and safety of our patients and staff is a priority for the hospital.
Staff and management are fully co-operating with the ongoing Garda investigation."
