Met Eireann issue ANOTHER status yellow warning13th Mar 18 | News
It’s looking more and more likely that the snow will return over the bank holiday weekend…
Met Eireann have issued a status yellow weather advisory for Munster and Leinster.
The warning will come into effect at two minutes past midnight on Wednesday 14th March and will remain in place until 23.39pm the same day.
On their website Met Eireann wrote: “Very wet and windy weather is expected to affect mainly Munster and south Leinster during Wednesday”.
As well as this, fears of a return of the ‘Beast from the East’ this weekend are growing with Met Eireann predicting snow and icy conditions over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are set to be wet with frost in places but things will take a turn for the worst over the weekend.
St. Patrick’s Day is forecast to be extremely cold with scattered snow showers mainly in eastern coastal counties and along the south coast with frost and snow predicted overnight.
The chill is set to continue into Sunday with more snow showers, mainly over Leinster and the eastern half of Munster with more frost overnight.
