Maria O'Brien joined us in studio this morning with her incredible little boy, Harry O'Brien, who is the only child in Ireland diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Genitopatellar.
She was here to tell us about the much-needed support she and her family receives from the Jack and Jill Children's Foundation.
Chief Executive of the Jack and Jill Foundation, Hugo Jellett, was also on the couch to tell us more about the services the charity provides for families like the O'Briens and just how vital fundraising is for the Foundation.
Jack & Jill are asking people to 'Bake a Cake for Goodness Sake' this October to raise pastry lids and sponges, as well as funds for home nursing care for sick children
The Jack & Jill Children's Foundation, supported by Odlums, is asking people to bake a cake to help the charity raise much needed funds for very sick children across the country through hosting bake sales and cake parties at home, in school and in work.
People can register now for a free baking pack atwww.jackandjill.ie and to make a donation to Jack & Jill, with every €16 funding one hour of home nursing care for a sick child.
