Fish, chips and mushy peas - though we hate to admit it we all love it. I prefer this method of coating the fish as opposed to a thick batter which can be too heavy and in most establishments there is often more batter than fish. Plaice is an under rated fish and this is just one way to use it. If you wish you could use other types of fish, such as John Dory, cod or haddock for this dish.

Apparently this salad, which has its origins in the Sichuan region of China, got its name from the sound of street traders pounding the cooked chicken in order to shred it. It is such a crowd pleaser and a really fresh and healthy one at that. Perfect for picnics and summer BBQ\'s as you can keep the sauce separate until everyone is ready to eat.
