Sink your teeth into the rich layer of delicious Carnation icing on top of a velvety soft vanilla sponge cake. Our Carnation vanilla cupcakes recipe is super easy to make and there are endless ways to decorate and make them your own!

Cupcakes
125g plain flour
250g Carnation Squeezy Condensed Milk
1 egg
½ tsp vanilla extract
85g buttery spread*
1½ tsp baking powder
Frosting
200g icing sugar
55g buttery spread*
few drops vanilla extract
1-2 tbsp Carnation Squeezy Condensed Milk
sugar sprinkles or cake decorations

Preheat the oven to 180°C, (160°C for fan ovens), Gas Mark 4.
Put the cupcake ingredients in a bowl and beat (use an electric hand mixer if you have one!) until light and creamy.
Put the cupcake cases into the tin and spoon in the mixture. Bake for about 15-18 minutes until springy. Cool slightly then lift out onto a cooling rack.
When cool, beat the icing sugar, butter and vanilla with enough condensed milk to make a thick icing. Spread or pipe onto the cakes. Add natural colours and finish with a few sugar decorations!
