3player is a free online catch up service which lets you watch a variety of programmes after they are broadcast on TV3 and 3e.
The new version of 3player is our easiest to use yet and there's never been as many ways to watch your favourite shows.
You can view 3player content on your desktop computer, laptop, Android or iOS devices, Samsung or Sony Smart TVs, Virgin Media or Sky+ boxes and on Xbox 360 or Xbox One gaming consoles.
3player provides you with a wide range of programming to catch up on based on the TV3 and 3e broadcast schedule. We currently offer over 90% of TV3 programming for catch up.
However, some programmes are subject to rights restrictions and while we endeavour to make all of our shows available for catch up, not all are available and most are only available to view within the Republic of Ireland.
Most of our programmes are available to view for 30 days after broadcast, but some content may only be available for 7 days after broadcast due to rights restrictions.
The amount of time a show has left on 3player will be displayed next to the video.
The majority of our shows are available immediately after broadcast, but live shows will take a little longer. Depending on the time of broadcast, it may take up to 12 hours for a live show to be available.
Yes, you can watch TV3, 3e and be3 live via our desktop and Android and iOS apps. Due to rights restrictions, some shows may not be available to stream, but you can see a full schedule of available shows here.
As Ireland's leading commercial broadcaster, TV3 is required to serve advertising to its viewers in order to fund our programming. Just like on TV, 3player shows advertisements before and in the natural ad breaks of our programmes.
If you're in the Republic of Ireland and you see a message saying you are not, it means 3player is recognising your IP address (the numerical label applied to every device accessing the internet) as being from outside the Republic of Ireland.
This may be happening for a number of reasons - your computer may be on a foreign-based network, your internet connection could be being routed overseas, or it could just be a network error.
We recommend contacting your Internet Service Provider and asking if your IP address is registered in the Republic of Ireland.
If your ISP confirms your IP address as within the Republic of Ireland and you are still seeing the geo-blocked message, please get in touch with us at email@example.com.
If you are experiencing issues trying to watch a video, please ensure you have updated to the latest version of your internet browser or mobile operating system and have the latest version of the 3player app installed.
If you are viewing on a desktop computer, please update to the latest version of Adobe Flash Player - you can check if you're fully up to date here. [https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/]
Additionally, if you have ad blocking software installed in your browser, please disable in order to watch the video. For more details see - How to manage ad blockers
If you are experiencing any other video-related playback issue, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org

Thanks for using 3player.
Sometimes you may not be able to hear sound from a 3player video if your iPad or iPhone is set to mute. The mute button is located on the side of your iPad, if you deactivate this, you should be able to hear 3player videos again. Alternatively, your iPad could be muted within the device's control centre, which you can access by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. If you're still experiencing difficulty with the sound on your device, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll get back as soon as we can.
If you are located outside the Republic of Ireland and are using either the iOS or Android apps you will only be able to see the shows that are internationally available.
