URGENT warning issued to Irish motorists after first proper rainfall in weeks20th Jul 18 | News
Be VERY careful!
The majority of the East coast woke up to miserable conditions this morning, following weeks of settled weather.
Due to the prolonged periods of dry weather, roads have become treacherous with AA Roadwatch advising drivers on how best to drive in the challenging conditions.
A spokesman said:
"Rubber, oil and other materials build up and cause roads to become slippery after the first rainfall.
Slow down, increase breaking distance and use gentle manoeuvres."
