The summer holiday season is getting into full swing but this weekend could see travel chaos as French air traffic controllers go on strike.

The summer holiday season is getting into full swing but this weekend could see travel chaos as French air traffic controllers go on strike.

The strike is scheduled to begin at 5.30am, Saturday the 23rd of June and continues through until 5.30am, Monday the 25th of June. It is the second time air traffic controllers in France have gone on strike this summer.  

The strike has already caused the cancellation of some flights bound for European destinations and all passengers are being advised to check with their airlines ahead of travelling. Dublin Airport took to Twitter to inform passengers of the potential disruption.
