[PIC] Lidl issue URGENT product recall over risk of salmonella poisoning

ALL batches of the product are affected.

Lidl Ireland have issued an urgent product recall of ALL batches of Golden Sun Bio Organic Amaranth Grains, over fears of salmonella poisoning.

According to reports, the product was pulled off the shelves because bacteria was detected as part of routine testing.

A spokesperson for the Food Safety Authority of Ireland said:

"As a precautionary measure, Estyria Naturprodukte GmbH is recalling all batches of Golden Sun Bio Organic Amaranth, which were sold in Lidl stores.

As part of routine testing, Salmonella was detected in the product.

Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores that sold this product."

All batch codes and best before dates are affected.

If you have purchased this product you are asked to return it to your local Lidl store immediately for a full refund.
