[PICS] Dublin hotel sends British blogger 'invoice' for over five million euro20th Jan 18 | News
The Charleville Lodge Hotel has now banned all bloggers from the premises.
Just when we the thought the dust began to settle...this happens!
Earlier this week, British vlogger Elle Darby sent The Charleville Lodge Hotel in Dublin an email asking for free accommodation in return for YouTube videos, Instagram stories and a review, she probably didn’t expect quite so brutal a response.
Hotel manager Paul Stenson, who is also in charge of The White Moose Cafe, posted her email on Facebook with his savage reply. He writes:
“It takes a lot of balls to send an email like that, if not much self-respect and dignity.”
He then goes on to ask: “If I let you stay here in return for a feature in your video, who is going to pay the staff who look after you?”
Just in case you weren’t sure of his stance, Paul continues:
“In future, I’d advise you to offer to pay your way like everyone else, and if the hotel in question believes your coverage will help them, maybe they’ll give you a complimentary upgrade to a suite. This would show more self-respect on your part and, let’s face it, it would be less embarrassing for you.”
The situation attracted a huge response in the media worldwide.
Now Paul has taken to Facebook today to share an "invoice" he is sending to Elle charging her €4,300,000 for "the provision of features in 114 articles across 20 countries with a potential reach of 450 million people."
He also added V.A.T at 23%, charging Elle in total €5,289,000.
