Do you ever get confused over what is ok to put in the recycling bin and what isn't?

Do you ever get confused over what is ok to put in the recycling bin and what isn't? If so, a new campaign should be able to help you make sure your household waste get disposed of in an eco-friendly way.

The new list has been drawn up by the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Enviroment and is available online along with lots of other helpful information on how to recycle rubbish properly.

While the list of items that can be recycled makes sense, some of the items that are now classified as not being suitable for recycling may surprise you.

Coffee cups, dirty pizza boxes and soft plastics like wrappers are not considered to be suitable for recycling and should be placed in your normal bin instead. The website also advises that recyclables should be put in the bin seperately, rather than placing different kinds of items inside each other so that they can be sorted more quickly and more easily.
