Irish Rail are warning passengers to expect delays after a fire broke out earlier this evening
Irish Rail are warning commuters to expect delays this evening after a fire broke out in Dublin’s Connolly Station.
Services were disrupted after heavy black smoke was seen over the lines at the station.
Dublin Fire Brigade told the Irish Sun that the smoke was caused by a ‘small fire’ nearby.

They said: “Some children were burning tires near the station and that was the cause of the smoke. It’s been dealt with now.”
Services from the station were briefly delayed and are now running with a 20 to 25 minute delay.
