Mother’s Day is fast approaching and if you want to treat your mum to something special, a relaxing day at a fancy spa is the perfect present.

1. The Forum Spa at Celtic Manor Resort, Newport
What’s it like? The five-star Celtic Manor Resort lies in 2,000 acres of parkland outside Newport.
What’s the deal? The Restore Experience Day package promises to leave you refreshed and revitalised. You get full use of the spa facilities which include a pool overlooking a rooftop garden, saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzis, fitness classes and the gym. 2. Macdonald Hotels, various locations across the UK
What’s it like? There are 45 Macdonald hotel across the country and most are four star.
What’s the deal? The Indulgent Spa Day package is available at 20 of the hotels and includes full use of spa facilities, robes, slippers and fluffy towels, a glass of fizz, a cream tea and a 55 minute treatment. You can choose from the superfood pro radiance facial, freestyle deep tissue massage or the Jessica deluxe manicure. You’ll also get a £5 voucher to spend in the spa store.

3. The Spa at Rudding Park Hotel, Harrogate
What’s it like? The award-winning Rudding Park Hotel, three miles south of Harrogate, is set in 300 acres of private parkland. It has two restaurants, a cinema, 18-hole golf course and even a helipad.
What’s the deal? Book through Super Break for a night’s stay in the Ribston Wing room, full access to the spa facilities throughout your stay, one 50-minute treatment and £40 off dinner at either the Clocktower or Horto restaurant.

4. Barnsdale Hall Hotel, Leicestershire
