How to ease yourself into the perfect night's slumber on a Sunday night.
We've all been there, and for some of us it happens every single week; when a Sunday stops feeling like a Sunday and the anxiety of Monday kicks in. This means we're only really getting to enjoy three quarters of our time away from the office - if you work Monday to Friday that is!
Even if you don't fear your week ahead, but rather just dread your alarm clock, Sunday fear is a total waste of our well earned time off. Psychologists call it Sunday Syndrome and while there's nothing you can physically take to elevate the symptoms, mentally it's time to kick that fear to the curb, and embrace your Sunday evenings.
Whether it's a catch up with friends over tea, or a quick drink at your local with your other half, getting out will help remind your body that yep, it's still the weekend. Engaging in a break-the-blues activity will have you forgetting what day it is in no time.
Staying in can be just as beneficial, but only if you use your afternoon and evening as best you can. It's a great time to prep yourself for a perfect night's sleep, which will help you feel more alert and less afraid come Monday morning.
