Fergie singles out 'M.I.L.F. Pump' as her favourite heel in closet overflowing with shoes2nd Dec 16 | Fashion
The pop star's hit solo tune has found its way into her wardrobe.
Singer Fergie has taken her hit single M.I.L.F. $ to new heights after creating a pair of stilettos inspired by the song.
The 41-year-old pop star and Fergie Footwear boss has a new favourite heel, even though her wardrobe is packed with options.
"I have so many shoes overflowing now in my closet, it's unbelievable," she tells People magazine. "A special one to me is always gonna be the 'M.I.L.F. Pump' because we got all the girls in the (M.I.L.F. $) video to wear them in the spa. It was really a special thing for me to see all those girls wearing a shoe that I was a part of. It's a white patent-leather pump."
The M.I.L.F. $ song title is a spin on the slang word M.I.L.F, which is an acronym for the lewd phrase 'mother I'd like to f**k', and re-adapting the word to mean something positive was the reason why Fergie chose that name for the tune - and the shoe.
"I'm sitting at home a lot of the time in flannels and t-shirts and yoga pants, so to get to go and pour milk on myself for a weekend with the girls, it was a fun moment for all of us as moms!" she recalls of what it was like to shoot the music video for the song with other Hollywood A-list mothers like Ciara and Kim Kardashian and supermodels Chrissy Teigen, Alessandra Ambrosio and Ashley Graham.
"It was quite the release," Fergie continues. "I just feel like that word (M.I.L.F)... Can we get over that that's a word that we're not supposed to say? (To me, it means) 'Mom I'd Like to Follow'. It feels good to feel sexy and have a good time but also be a good example, be a 'mom I'd like to follow' in different ways, like growing an organic garden or doing yoga or having a yoga retreat."
