The one thing we noticed across the spring/summer 2016 catwalks? How many of our favourite designers had been inspired by the ‘80s. From oversized shoulders and exaggerated ruffles, to metallics, sequins and lurex, it felt like they were all reminiscing about their wild child days. This look is as OTT as they come but if it was acceptable in the ‘80s then who are we to argue? Throw caution to the wind and channel the outrageous ‘80s with a one-shouldered body, paired with a metallic skirt and your highest heels. Heck, go all out and add a power perm if you so wish. The key to nailing this trend is embracing the excess. We think we’re coming down with disco fever…
