Ross Kemp delighted fans by sharing a picture of him visiting Dame Barbara Windsor.
Last month Barbara's husband, Scott Mitchell, revealed that the 80-year-old Carry On star was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in April 2014.
Barbara played Ross Kemp's TV mum Peggy Mitchell in EastEnders and the pair have remained close friends since the actress left the soap in 2016.
Ross took to Twitter this week to share a snap during a recent visit with the soap legend.
He captioned it:

Dame Barbara Windsor's husband Scott revealed the EastEnders star has sometimes forgotten they are married since being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
In an interview with The Sun, he said the 80-year-old actress would be unable to remember the couple’s 18-year marriage as the disease took hold.
Mr Mitchell, 55, told the newspaper:
“She suddenly has no recollection of our history.
She’ll look at her wedding ring and say, ‘Are we married?’ But that’s the thing about this cruel disease, isn’t it?”
He had previously revealed how Dame Barbara – who enjoyed a glittering career in showbusiness – was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in April 2014. They had kept it hidden until May this year.
Since news of the former Carry On star’s diagnosis broke, friends and former colleagues have rushed to lend their support to the actress.
