Greg James has returned to Scotland to complete his Sport Relief challenge after it was suspended due to bad weather.
The DJ had to postpone the final leg of his fundraiser – climbing Ben Nevis – because of atrocious conditions.
Speaking from Moffat, in Dumfries and Galloway, where he had to call a halt to the journey two weeks ago, James, 32, told Radio 1: “I’m feeling recovered, my body is better.”
He added: “I feel even more determined than I was the first time to get it done.”
He added: “This weather needs to hold off and it’ll all be great.”
Before he sets foot on Ben Nevis, James has to cycle through “over 150 miles of punishing mountain terrains”, organisers said.
And wet and windy weather is predicted for the Radio 1 DJ’s final stretch.
James has been attempting to scale three of the UK’s highest peaks and cycle the distance between them to raise money for Sport Relief, to help vulnerable people across the UK and the world.
