The 30-year-old star has been hitting headlines in recent weeks due to "allegations of misconduct" surrounding his behaviour on the U.S. reality spin-off show, which led to the programme being shut down.

According to reports, a producer on the series filed an official complaint after witnessing Corinne Olympios and DeMario getting sexual in the swimming pool, despite the blonde star allegedly being too drunk to give her consent.

It was claimed earlier this week (ends18Jun17) that DeMario has been fired from his job as an executive recruiter, and while these allegations have been disputed, the star's lawyer Walter Mosley has revealed just how devastating the scandal has been for his client.

"This has caused a lot of trauma - both physical and emotional injury. It's been difficult for DeMario and his family. He's a celebrity for all the wrong reasons," Mosley said in an interview with Variety.

Being that the show is a reality series, the alleged incident was caught on camera. Neither DeMario nor Olympios has seen the footage, according to reports, but Mosley added to the outlet that he will be viewing tapes from the show next week.

"I have requested the tapes and I'm hoping to see the tapes next week," he added. "The tapes are the real facts needed to vindicate DeMario's name."

DeMario is also keen for tapes of the alleged incident to be released, telling Inside Edition recently: "The only thing I want is for the truth to come out. I feel like the truth will be able to come out in those videos."

Mosley also stressed to Variety that there's currently no criminal investigation into DeMario, and the former star of The Bachelor has "a great deal of respect for Corinne."
