North West was joined by her friends at restaurant chain and indoor play centre Chuck E. Cheese as she turned four on Thursday (15Jun17). And as while the little girl was treated to a hugely enjoyable party, she was also given a cute new canine.

On Friday, reality TV star Kim took to her Snapchat to show the adorable Pomeranian to her fans, while asking them to help the family come up with a name for the pooch.

"You guys, how cute is Northie's little puppy?" she said in the first Snapchat post. She then looked at the dog as she continued, "What should we name you?"

In another post, Kim smiled: "This dog is so tiny."

It's as yet unclear who bought the dog for North, although fans have speculated it was a gift from her parents. However, Kim's sister Kourtney also shared a picture of two little Pomeranian puppies on her Instagram page on Thursday, although giving no further details about where they came from or who they were for.

It could be that one puppy is for North and one is for Kourtney's daughter Penelope, who is also four and one of her cousin's best friends.

It remains to be seen how Kim copes with having a dog in the house, as she has had little luck with animals in the past.

In 2012, Kanye bought Kim a tiny Persian kitten, which the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star called Mercy. However, at just four months old, Mercy had to be euthanised, after contracting a rare, cancer-like virus in her stomach.

Revealing the sad news to her fans, Kim wrote on her blog at the time: "It is with deep sadness that I have to tell you all that my kitten, Mercy, has passed away. My heart is completely broken."
