Mary Tyler Moore's ex-husband, revered TV executive Grant Tinker, has died, aged 91.
Tinker passed away on Monday (28Nov16) at his estate in California.
As CEO of U.S. network NBC in the 1980s, Tinker helped to develop a string of hit sitcoms, including Cheers, Family Ties, and The Cosby Show.
He was married to Moore from 1962 until 1981, and together, they set up the production firm MTM Enterprises, the company behind TV hits The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Rhoda, Lou Grant and Phyllis.
Their other projects included The Bob Newhart Show, The Texas Wheelers, Friends and Lovers, St. Elsewhere, and Hill Street Blues.
Tinker was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1997.
