Prince: R U Listening? will feature anecdotes from Pepe Willie, who gave the teenage star a big break as the guitarist in his band 94 East, and the Purple Rain singer's longtime sidekicks Dez Dickerson and Andre Cymone.

There will also be tributes from the late music icon's famous fans, like Mick Jagger, Bono, and Lenny Kravitz, and his former lover and bandmate Sheila E will also open up about her relationship with the singer/songwriter.

Michael Kirk will direct the film for 13 Films.

Meanwhile, the late star's Paisley Park home and recording complex will host a four-day festival, dubbed Celebration 2017, around the first anniversary of his death in April (16). His backing bands The Revolution, New Power Generation, and 3rdEyeGirl, and Morris Day and the Time have signed up to headline the event.
