Band of Horses staging benefit gigs in South Carolina hometown19th Oct 16 | Entertainment News
Rockers Band of Horses are turning their Wednesday night (19Oct16) concert in their hometown of Charleston, South Carolina into a hurricane relief fundraiser.
The city suffered severe flooding earlier this month (Oct16) when Hurricane Matthew swept through the Caribbean and America's East Coast, leaving a trail of destruction in its path
Now the No One's Gonna Love You stars have announced plans to do their bit to help the local community recover and rebuild following the natural disaster.
They have asked fans to bring canned food to donate to those in need, while they will be selling autographed posters at their merchandise booths, and will be raffling off a signed guitar during the North Charleston Coliseum & Performing Arts Center gig.
Band of Horses will also stage an afternoon benefit at Charleston's Truphonic Studios, hours before the official gig.
All proceeds from the two concerts will benefit the Tri-County Hurricane Matthew Recovery Fund, reports Pitchfork.com.
