Kiss football team folds - report19th Oct 16 | Entertainment News
Rockers Kiss have reportedly blown the final whistle on their Arena Football team in Los Angeles.
Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons have folded the L.A. Kiss after just three seasons, according to new reports.
"As I understand, they won't be involved in any football moving forward," Arena Football League Player's Union executive director Ivan Soto told the Orange County Register on Monday (17Oct16).
Neither Simmons nor Stanley have confirmed the report, and there is no mention of the team's dissolution on any official Internet sites or social media pages.
Two other teams, the Orlando Predators and the Portland Steel, have also folded in recent weeks.
The L.A. Kiss started out in August, 2013, and never had a winning season, but the team's seven victories this past season earned the players their first playoff spot.
Stanley and Simmons weren't the only rock stars involved in the AFL. Jon Bon Jovi was a co-majority owner of the Philadelphia Soul from 2004 until 2009, and Motley Crue singer Vince Neil was an owner of the Las Vegas Outlaws.
