Liam Gallagher compares brother Noel to Hitler18th Oct 16 | Entertainment News
Liam Gallagher has dented hopes of an Oasis reunion by comparing his brother Noel to Adolf Hitler.
The 44-year-old rocker has previously expressed hopes he and Noel could bury the hatchet, ending a feud which caused the brothers to call time on Oasis in 2009 after a backstage altercation.
However Liam has hit out at his brother again and compared his attitude to that of the Nazi leader, stating to Radio X, "He is pretty dark. But then so was Hitler."
Despite his attack, the latest in a long line, Liam still wants his brother to help him reunite Oasis and recapture the magic that once made them one of the most popular British bands in music.
Liam admits that such a reunion is unlikely, adding, "It would be nice to see Jesus Christ not nailed to a cross...but s**t happens."
Liam has regularly taken aim at his older brother on social media, using his Twitter account to post insults towards 49-year-old Noel. He still blames his brother's solo ambitions rather than his comments for the animosity between them.
"This is a serious question and I'm not bringing the mood down," he explains. "Our kid's (Noel) going around like I've stabbed his f**king cat. He wants to be in a solo band.
"If people think me having a dig on Twitter is what's stopping the band getting back together, they're mad. If they want the band to get back together they'll have to ask our kid. It's down to our kid."
Liam was talking to the British radio station to promote Supersonic, a new documentary film about Oasis' glory days.
He attended its premiere in the brothers' hometown of Manchester, England, earlier this month (Oct16) but Noel chose to stay away.
