Ed Sheeran returns to the stage for charity gig18th Oct 16 | Entertainment News
Singer Ed Sheeran is returning to the stage after a year-long hiatus to perform at a charity gig.
The Thinking Out Loud star will hit the stage at London's Natural History Museum as part of a fundraiser for the East Anglia Children's Hospice (EACH) group.
The gig will mark Sheeran's official return to performing since he announced he was taking a break from social media in December (15).
In an Instagram post, Ed wrote: "I'm taking a break from my phone, emails and all social media for a while, I've had such an amazing ride over the last five years but I find myself seeing the world through a screen and not my eyes so I'm taking this opportunity of me not having to be anywhere or do anything to travel the world and see everything I missed.
"To my family and friends, if you love me you will understand me buggering off for a bit, to my fans, the third album is on its way and is the best thing I have made thus far. See you all next autumn, and thank you for being amazing."
And talking about his return in a new statement, the singer writes: "As an ambassador of EACH, I am enormously proud and excited to be joining them for their gala dinner event at the Natural History Museum on November 30."
