Jennifer Lawrence's X-Men suit smells like urine12th May 16 | Entertainment News
Jennifer Lawrence's blue X-Men bodysuit smelled like urine because she had to use a funnel to go to the toilet.
The Hunger Games actress plays Raven Darkholme, who turns into the blue-bodied shape-shifting mutant Mystique, for the third time in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse, and her blue costume didn't make it easy for her to go to the bathroom.
Jennifer had to go to the toilet standing up with a funnel while shooting Mystique scenes, and she had trouble relieving herself accurately with the contraption so she ended up with urine "drips" on her costume, leading to a distinct smell.
"I have to pee on myself every time I have to go to the bathroom," she told BBC Radio 1 DJ Greg James on Thursday (12May16)."I don't have to pee on myself but I have to pee out of a funnel standing up because the people who made the suit are like, 'She doesn't go to the bathroom - she's a girl!'... I can't sit down so I have to stand and I have to pee out of a funnel, and I just can never get it right."
To become Mystique, Jennifer also has to wear a lot of blue paint, and she recently revealed the most effective method of removing it was shaving cream, which turned off her then-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult.
"It's really good for taking paint off, but Nick used to hate it 'cause I'd come home smelling like a man," Jennifer told news show Extra. "And (I was always) too tired. I'd be like, 'Don't touch, me, I'm too tired', and he'd be like, 'Well, you smell like a dude'."
She referenced her X-Men co-star, in another interview with ETOnline.com in which the Kentucky native joked about her accent changing when she gets mad.
"Nick always said whenever I yelled at him it was always in a Southern accent," she said. "Oh, I used to yell at Nick and kind of see like his smile flickering. (I was) like, 'Why are you smiling?' And he's like, 'Because you sound like your dad.'"
The 25-year-old met the British actor on X-Men: First Class in 2010 and they dated on-and-off until 2014.
