Ariana Grande has just gone grey: 6 celebs who have also pulled off the look
9th Oct 17 | BeautyFrom Kim Kardashian to Jourdan Dunn - here are the famous faces taking the plunge.
In case you missed it, going grey is actually cool now. Instead of being something you desperately avoid with years of hair dye, now celebrities are purposefully colouring their hair to get the look.
Ariana Grande is the latest person to take the plunge, posting this picture on Instagram yesterday.
Going grey is certainly a bold beauty move – you could either look amazing or just a little bit like your nan. Here are six other celebrities who show us how to really work the look…
1. Louisa Johnson
Louisa rose to fame in 2015 when she won The X Factor, and is normally known for her beachy blonde hair.
Last year, she ditched her blonde locks for grey – we particularly like how her hair has undertones of lilac, making for a much more interesting look.
2. Kim Kardashian
Whilst it might be easier for blondes to make the transition to grey hair, this doesn’t mean that brunettes shouldn’t give it a go.
At New York Fashion Week in September, Kim Kardashian debuted new icy hair. In some lights it looked bright blonde, and in others a cool grey – showing that brunettes can definitely pull off the colour.
3. Winnie Harlow

You’re probably used to seeing grey roots more than anything else, but model Winnie Harlow turned this expectation on its head.
At the GQ Awards last year, she rocked long grey hair with her dark brown roots growing out. It made for an unexpected and very edgy hairstyle.
4. Ciara
Whilst many celebs style their grey hair in experimental ways, this doesn’t mean that you need a choppy bob or crazy styling to pull it off.
Instead, for the 2016 Met Gala, singer Ciara went down the old-school glamour path, pinning her grey hair into classy waves.
5. Nicole Richie

For the Met Gala in 2016, Nicole Richie went full Miss Havisham with her elaborate grey updo.
Whilst it does look a bit like Nicole sprayed too much dry shampoo in her hair, we still love the bird’s nest effect that really plays off her demure dress.
6. Jourdan Dunn
We’re not quite sure what it is about the Met Gala, but it really seems to be the event that inspires celebs to go grey.
Not only does model Jourdan Dunn’s sharp bob suit her new hair colour perfectly, but it also looks incredible with her silver outfit. A pretty perfect outfit to match the ball’s theme: “Manus x Machina: Fashion in the age of technology.”
