The daughters of disco icon Donna Summer feature in a new promotional film for Cartier's Panthere watch shot by filmmaker Sofia Coppola.
Singer-songwriter Amanda Grace Sudano-Ramirez, of musical husband and wife duo Johnnyswim, and her actress sister Brooklyn, are the daughters of the late I Feel Love singer and composer Bruce Sudano. They also have a half-sister Natalia 'Mimi' Sommer.
Sofia cast the famous offspring in the '80s-themed film to celebrate the return of Cartier's famous watch, which is a nod to the era in which the original time piece was released, alongside Mad Max: Fury Road actress Courtney Eaton.
The filmmaker, daughter of director Francis Ford Coppola, chose the singer and actress to recreate "a perfect fun day in the life of the Panthere watch and the woman who is wearing it."
"I imagined she's visiting L.A. and away from work, and is enjoying the sun, romance and her friends," Sofia told Business of Fashion, describing the clip starring the siblings.
The sisters' mother died of cancer aged 63 in 2012. Recalling life with the chart-topping star, Brooklyn, who stars in NBC's new action series Taken, recalled being "put to work" by her musician parents. She and her sister would accompany their parents on tour to do "grunt work" such as steaming the band's clothes.
"Our parents wanted us to have an understanding of what it was like to put on a production," Brooklyn told The New York Post.
But while music was definitely a big part of their life, Brooklyn insisted that to her and her sisters the disco diva was "mom first and foremost."
"At the end of the day, we're a family and that was always a highlight and everything else was secondary," she added.
