Melanie Brown is planning to renew her vows with her husband Stephen Belafonte to prove their marriage is stronger than ever.
The Spice Girl has been married to film producer Stephen for almost nine years but they have been plagued by split rumours for years, and the singer is determined to shut the speculation down once and for all by exchanging vows for a second time.
"My husband is my best friend and we know each other so well that we know what we are getting," she tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper. "But there are always rumours we are splitting up...
"We were at a friend's bar mitzvah which Mariah Carey was hosting the other day, and two people were like, 'Are you guys still together?' We will be together forever... Stephen is a bit crazy, but then I am a bit crazy so it kind of evens itself out. Actually, we are talking about renewing our vows."
Melanie was previously married to dancer Jimmy Gulzar between 1998 and 2000, and admits to the publication that she "already had one failed marriage so I definitely don't want to have another one."
She has a daughter with Jimmy, Phoenix Chi, who is now 17 years old. She has also nine-year-old Angel with Eddie Murphy, and four-year-old Madison with Stephen.
Melanie admits it's difficult to score alone time with Stephen without the kids due to her hectic work schedule, which will no doubt get busier with the rumoured Spice Girls reunion this year (16).
She sparked speculation she is working on new material with former bandmates Geri Horner and Emma Bunton after she posted a picture to Instagram of the trio with the caption, "And I say oohhhh LALA". They reportedly spent two days in a London recording studio this week (beg09May16).
