It could be costly to loose the grip, but at least it will be fun! Placate awkward people with a beaming smile; and not much else. It’s about time you claimed some personal freedom and did what makes you feel happy. Do not stand on ceremony for much longer. Feelings of confinement or constriction are by definition stifling. So refuse to be dictated to, and start to run the show on your own terms.
