In support of Today FM’s ‘Dare to Care’ campaign for the Irish Cancer Society, TV3’s true blue presenter, Martin King, tonight (Thursday 29th Sep), donned a Mayo jersey while delivering the weather forecast to thousands of people all over Ireland.
It was mind over matter for Dublin man Martin who proved what a good sport he was when he wore green and red ahead of this weekend’s All Ireland Final replay.
Commenting on his ‘Dare to Care’, Martin King, said:“I could feel my skin starting to itch after a while but I was doing it for the Irish Cancer Society’s ‘Dare to Care’ campaign which I was happy to support. Come Saturday though I’ll be a true blue again! Come on the Dubs!”
It’s one of the many dares The Seven O’ Clock Show team are taking part in to help in raising much needed funds for cancer research.
On tomorrow night’s (Friday 30th Sep) The Seven O’Clock Show, Friday host Muireann O’Connell will have her make up done by former Republic of Ireland soccer International Paddy Mulligan while he sits on a bouncing ball, before she presents the live show. He’ll also be choosing her outfit for the show!
And Ray Foley will be going through labour pains brought on by a pregnancy simulator while co-presenting the show alongside made up Muireann!
It definitely sounds like it’s worth tuning in for!
Viewers wishing to show their support to the TV3 presenters in their ‘Dare to Care’ challenge can do so by simply texting the word ‘DARE’ to 50300. Texts cost €4. The Irish Cancer Society will receive a minimum of €3.25.
