Mulled Wine

 

Ingredients:

1/2 bottle fruity, easy drinking red

1/4 bottle of fresh apple juice

Shot & 1/2 of Brandy

Zest of orange and the juice of this orange

6 cloves studded in orange slices

2 cinnamon sticks

1/8 vanilla pod (optional)

3 dessert spoons of brown sugar

1 star anise (optional)

 

Method:

Add all ingredients to pot and let simmer at low heat for 10 mins. Let blend rest for 30 mins, not critical however it lets all the flavours infuse.  Reheat never boil and serve. Note, do not serve too hot. Enjoy.
