Rape Crisis Centre

Sexual violence can have a profound and lasting effect on someone's life, often forcing individuals into the shadows due to a sense of awkwardness, shame and fear.

But because of brave and inspiring people, who have chosen to stand up and share their stories, we are slowly beginning to get a greater understanding and awareness of the issue.

We were joined this morning by Executive Director of the Galway Rape Crisis Centre, Cathy Connolly and Trish Kelly who has availed of their services, to tell us more about the help and support that's out there for people who have been affected by sexual violence.
