Sugar Tax

In yesterday's budget, the Government introduced a number of tax initiatives with a charge on fizzy drinks top of the list.

From next April there will by 30 cent per litre of tax on drinks with over 8g of sugar per 100ml.

Reduced rate of 20 cent per litre on drinks with between 5g and 8g of sugar per 100ml.

Dietitian Louise Reynolds joinned us in the Kitchen to explain what drinks will be affected and how much sugar are in each drink
