Essential oil combination (3-35 drops of essential oil in total)
You'll need a 200ml glass jar with a spray attachment.
Combine your selection of essential oils in a ceramic dish. Pour into the spray bottle, add the vodka and water and shake well.
Experiment with different scents to come up with your favourite. This spray will keep indefinitely as the alcohol acts as a preservative. Also these sprays make really lovely personal gifts.
Soothing Oat and Honey Bath Bombs:
Makes 6-10 bombs, depending on mould size
4 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons dried rose petals
2 tablespoons dried camomile flowers
8 drops petitgrain essential oil (or essential oil of your choice)
1 x silicone mould such as an ice cube tray (you could also simply roll these into balls but I don't think they look as pretty)
Pour your oats into a grinder (a coffee grinder is perfect) or food processor and blend to a fine powder. Pour into a bowl and add the rest of the ingredients.
Work everything together with your hands until it clumps together and when you squeeze it in your hand it holds its shape. Spoon into your chosen mould and press down firmly. Leave for a couple of hours to set.
Stored in an airtight jar, these will keep for up to six weeks.
The cold weather doesn't look like it's shifting any time soon which means our bodies are still at risk of catching nasty colds and flus. But what happens when your little one gets sick and begins to run a temperature?
