Gogglebox Ireland is set to introduce a brand new home from Clare

The wait is finally over as TV3’s smash hit show Gogglebox Ireland is back on our screens tomorrow night (Wednesday 8th February) at 9pm for another dose of hilarious TV commentary from families and friends from all over Ireland.

Five new homes have been confirmed for the brand new series, with a new home being introduced tomorrow night - Tadgh and his Granny Ettie from County Clare.

16 year old Tadhg visits his Granny Ettie in Clonlara, County Clare every day and stays overnight as often as he can - he considers her his second Mammy.

Ettie spent 8 years in the UK working as a nurse and returned to Ireland in 1976 in order to raise her family. Until her recent retirement, she worked with adults with Special Needs and now spends her spare time reading and looking after her grandchildren.

She dotes on Tadhg and their relationship is extremely close. They are travel buddies, have visited Boston and Lake Garda together and, last summer, they went to Australia to visit Ettie’s son for a month.

When it comes to TV, Ettie is a big fan of The Chase, Antiques Roadshow and WW2 documentaries. She has a fascination with war-time films and books and any type of period drama.

She and Tadhg enjoy movies together, while he also loves to watch The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad.

Tadhg says his guilty pleasure is Big Brother but Ettie thinks it's rubbish! Ettie’s pin-up would be Sean Connery and her favourite actor is Tom Hanks. Tadhg is a huge Quintin Tarantino fan.

On tomorrow night’s show (Wednesday 8th February), Tahdg and Ettie let us know exactly what they think of Jedward and their housemates on Celebrity Big Brother, with the Tully twins complaining that John & Edward give twins a bad name!

We find out about Alex Ryan's childhood tea making skills, get a finger clicking musical performance from the Adenugas and learn that Angela is thinking of quitting meat and becoming a “veterinarian”.

The brand new series of Gogglebox Ireland airs tomorrow night, Wednesday 8th February at 9pm on TV3 and 3player.
