Hi, I was interested to watch the interview with Margaret and Tadgh (newly-qualified midwife and nurse). I am one of Margaret's classmates, and fully support all her points. I would like to add that our hospital, CUMH, has NEVER achieved its original midwifery staffing levels. The staff there are overstretched and have worked so hard to provide an excellent level of care and maintain their teaching standards, but it seems that they are not to be given the support of the newly qualified staff that they have helped to create.

Dr Ciara Kelly was misleading and erroneous when she stated that chiropodists "dont really do much with verrucae" on the morning show on wed 20th, its a well known fact that chiropodists perform all the treatments that G.P.s do and many more... get your facts right there Ciara Tom -

Was interested in the creative idea of the graphic designer to help pay off the national debt and went on line to support it. but was completely turned off by his other quote, 'F--- Off sure we're grand.' Found it distasteful. What's his excuse for it? Sure we're Irish? Not for me thanks.

Ye were asking were children still playing with conkers. In Freshford in kilkenny in a few weeks there will be a conker festival!! http://new.claneire.com/default.asp?com=freshford&org=icc

Why not have parents happy with the alternative model of education available for children with autism on the show to provide a more balanced discussion? It was emotive but the lack of balance belittled the issue at hand.

Good morning, I am currently completing my doctoral dissertation in the area of emotional intelligence. I would like to point out that claims such as 'EI is more important than IQ' do a disservice to the field. EI is about leveraging your skills. Also using self report tests to measure EI are questionable in terms of validity i.e. you are assuming the person has a high level of self awareness. The MSCEIT, designed by John Mayer and Peter Salovey, is a much more objective measure and considered to be one of the leadings tests in the field. Regards, Roisin Corcoran University of Limerick

The cuts in the HSE seem to be made by medically unqualified public servants looking at the financial bottom line. What they don't realise is that these cuts leave the staff so busy there is no time to be careful, especially in the "Centres of excellence" or "Centres of Chaos" this results in cases of negligence with massive court awards, -a real false economy. leave the smaller hospitals alone, at least people genuinely care there, as there is very often a personal connection between Patients and Staff.

I completely agree with the points raised by the cobh group. Cancer is at a massive rate in cobh. Im 23 and have lived here my whole life. In this time I have seen 3 friends in secondary schools mothers DIE from cancer and my brother died at the age of 18 from an extremely rare form of cancer. It was so rare that his case was raised at an international medical conference in London as he was the 2nd youngest person EVER to develop this strain of cancer. CLEAN UP THE STEEL, FINE FAIL, GREENS DO THE RIGHT THING, DO THE STUDY.s

what the hell is wrong with those crazy Christians?? As a highly educated young 'straight' woman i have never in my life been so furious listening to the rubbish being spouted by that family. It is so embarrassing to think that people with those type views still exist in this country. in my mind, ignorance is a much bigger 'problem' than being a gay or lesbian woman. It makes me sick to hear people speak in this way and try to make ridiculous points comparing black people, travellers and gay people. that didnt make any snse nor did the oint about the eight year old child not being allowed go to town. Im just so embarrassed to be irish right now and sharing a nationality with such bigoted and ignorant people
