Piers Morgan
Piers started his career in journalism writing for local newspapers in south London. Before long he was spotted by Kelvin MacKenzie, the then editor of The Sun, and given his own showbiz column, Bizarre. This lead to Rupert Murdoch handing him the reigns to The News of the World, which he edited for two years before he was headhunted by The Mirror. His tenure as chief of The Mirror ended acrimoniously when he was sacked in May 2004 for publishing photos of British troops allegedly abusing Iraqi prisoners; the images turned out to be fake.
Since then he has focussed on his TV career, presiding over the Britain's Got Talent panel with Simon and Amanda, and presenting Tabloid Tales, and You Can't Fire Me, I'm Famous. He has also made a name for himself in The States, playing the nasty, English judge that everyone loves to hate on America's Got Talent.
