‘The Great Irish Christmas Bake Off’ airs Wednesday 17th December at 9pm on TV3.
Interviews are available on request.
It’s the clash of the Bake Off judges as Anna Nolan hosts TV3’s The Great Irish Christmas Bake Off with a difference. This time there are no amateur bakers competing for the big prize; instead the judges of the popular baking series, Biddy White Lennon and Paul Kelly, put their judging hats to one side and go head to head in a traditional versus modern Christmas Bake Off special.
Biddy bakes some traditional favourites, including Christmas pudding and mince pies. Paul however, prefers a more modern style of so he puts his stamp on things by baking some delicious treats including white chocolate snowmen, pavlova Christmas trees and even edible Christmas tree decorations! Together they make an old classic; gingerbread men. But Paul has his work cut out for him when Biddy challenges him to bake a dessert with a surprise ingredient that she picks up whilst foraging.
Filmed at the festive location of Tinakilly House, both judges present several Christmas themed bakes and are joined by a very special guest, Lisa Cannon. The Xposé favourite is treated to a sumptuous Christmas dinner and afterwards has the difficult task of deciding which of the pair will be crowned ‘Star Baker’.
Tune in to The Great Irish Christmas Bake Off on Wednesday 17th December at 9pm on TV3 to find out which judge will come out on top and walk away with the coveted title of ‘Star Baker’!
