Sitting On A Fortune returns this week to the home of Saturday night entertainment, TV3. The brand new show sees players earn money for doing absolutely nothing! Hosted by hilarious TV presenter and former Big Brother winner turned presenter, Brian Dowling, Sitting on a Fortune is a formidable and funny play-along entertainment show that is guaranteed to put bums on seats. Players earn money for sitting on their bum, so the more they are in their seats the more their prize fund increases. It’s a show where you really don’t want to be the last man standing.
In the second episode of the series, we meet some very colourful characters. Dancers Gerard and Lana from Dublin go up against GAA-mad Mayo sisters Jean and Mary. Also challenging these two teams are the dynamic and hilarious Tom and Jodie, who gave Brian a run for his money and nearly deserved keeping the show to themselves.
On a set dominated by super-sized chairs, Sitting On A Fortune will see the three couples take turns to sprint to the games area to take on a fiendish puzzle – but there’s a catch. All the time they’re away from their chair, their rivals’ prize pot increases. The longer it takes a couple to solve a puzzle, the more money the other two couples could win. Once they think they have solved the puzzle, each couple must race back and sit down again, but they’ll only cut off the cash to their rivals if they’ve been successful.
It’s a game where quick feet are as important as quick thinking, as only one couple can reach the end game where they’ll have a chance to literally sit on a fortune. This fast-paced show will have you screaming at the TV. It’s always easier when you play from the sofa!
‘Sitting on a Fortune’ episode 2 airs this Saturday at 6.50pm on TV3.
