In a dramatic first series finale of the graphic drama Wentworth Prison,Bea discovers that Debbie’s secret boyfriend was Jacs' son. She jumps to the obvious conclusion that Jacs was behind her daughter's death. However, Bea is already in enough trouble, so Liz convinces her to go by the book and get Erica to talk to the police.
Meanwhile, Fletch makes amends with Vera and they grow closer, finally making love. But the love bubble soon bursts when Vera reads Fletch's journal and discovers the shocking truth about his affair with Meg. When she accuses him of killing her, Fletch tells Vera to get out of his life.
Determined to end Franky's manipulation of Bea, Liz plants Meg's bracelet in Jacs's cell. Will finds it and Jacs is arrested for Meg's murder. Jacs' reign as top dog is coming to an end. Her husband is divorcing her, the women turn their backs on her, and the screws treat her with contempt and dislike. Even Vera, turned nasty by scorn, makes it clear that her remaining life inside will be hell.
Bea can contain herself no longer and confronts Jacs. She wants to know the truth about Debbie's death, but Jacs just taunts her beyond bearing. Seized by a fit of uncontrollable rage, Bea is pushed over the edge...
