Angeline’s Home Cooks is a whole new take on cookery shows. This fun and informative series brings cooking back to basics. Its ambition is to get people back into their kitchens cooking simple family orientated dishes from scratch. Brilliant home cooks take kitchen rookies under their wing and try to teach them their signature dish. Presented by Angeline Ball, from The Commitments, The General and most recently Shameless andproduced by Vision Independent Productions (the makers of Operation Transformation and Neville’s Doorstep Challenge), this innovative and ground breaking TV3 series will bring all the lost techniques and skills to these dishes back in vogue.
In each episode there will be two home cooks who are going to share their recipes with two non-cooks, people who have never learnt the basics, who have confessed to burning down kitchens and poisoning family members!
In the first episode of this brand new series, Ann Marie, from Effin in Co Limerick, who is famous for her Bacon and Cabbage, steps the non–cooks, Sarah and Shane through her techniques. Once they have mastered that dish, they are then handed over to Graphic Designer, Lenore, originally from Cape Cod but now living in Dun Laoghaire, who will teach them how to assemble and cook Lenore's Lovely Lasagne - an Italian classic with a serious cheesy twist.
After both ‘non-cooks’ leave Angeline’s Home Cooks with two recipes under their belts we will revisit them some weeks later to see if they are putting their new found kitchen skills into practice!
Angeline’s Home Cooks lives online at www.tv3.ie/homecooks with beautifully shot, step by step videos and lots of other home cooks stepping you through their signature dishes.
