TV3’s gritty new drama Wentworth Prison continues on Monday night and this week the officers and women are on edge, aware of Jacs' downward spiral in popularity and Bea's ascent, following the attacks. Waiting for the next round of reprisals, the guards carry out regular cell searches and observe the woman closely.
As Jacs recovers from her injuries, Erica tries to encourage her to go into protection to ensure her safety, but the offer is ignored.
During a visit from husband Vinnie, Jacs asks him to smuggle in drugs for her arthritis. When Vinnie announces that he wants to divorce her, Jacs realises that she will lose more face with the women and decides to make a final move to break Bea.
The ringing of a phone hidden in Bea's cell marks the start of Jacs' campaign. Answering it, Bea hears a man claiming to be with Debbie and suggesting that she is being raped. Bea panics and Liz tries to reassure her that Jacs is playing mind games.
Meanwhile, Jacs receives her arthritis medication from an unexpected source, and it becomes clear that she has control over someone else already.
TV3’s must-watch drama ‘Wentworth Prison’ episode 8 airs Monday 18thAugust at 10pm on TV3.
