TV3’s gritty new drama Wentworth Prison continues on Monday night and this week Vera’s attempt to make herself over to impress Fletch backfires when he confronts her about flirting with him when she has a boyfriend. When Vera defies her controlling mother to go out with some officers after work, her mother punishes her by turning up to work to publicly shame Vera and expose the truth about her relationship with her fantasy boyfriend.
Following Toni’s release from the wet cell, she is targeted by Jacs who forces her to lie to the Governor that it was Franky who supplied her with drugs. Although Erica knows this isn’t true, she must betray Franky in order to keep her own secret and protect her position at Wentworth Prison.
Meanwhile Bea is worried that her daughter is being neglected by her husband when she loses all contact with both of them. Fearing for her daughter’s safety, Bea begs Officer Jackson to allow her to use the phone out of hours to call home, but after a brief discussion with her husband, Bea is more worried than ever.
