Irish sweetheart Nadia Forde is heading stateside to pursue her music career and 3e has the exclusive with its brand new series ‘Nadia Goes To Hollywood’. The model, actress and singer is hitting Hollywood with the hope of becoming a pop star along the way.

In part one of this three part series, Nadia arrives in Hollywood and is challenged by the highs and hardships of recording her first single at Paramount and preparing for her first music video with an award-winning director. To help kick-start her career, Nadia has been hooked up with a larger than life celebrity publicist in LA who has advised her that in order to succeed in Hollywood she needs to start dating a “hot shot celebrity who is recently out of rehab or recently out of jail”!

With success in her grasp, things are getting off to a great start. However, panic starts to set in when Nadia realises that her music track will not be ready ahead of her first music video and her dancers have been fired. Nadia doesn’t hold back and gets extremely angry over this last minute mishap.

In between, we see a softer side to Nadia as she reflects on life back in Ireland and the lack of parental stability she had growing up. Nadia’s grandmother along with some of her closest friends reveal a side to her we’ve never seen before. Nadia’s grandmother gushes: “I’m so proud of her, really. The proudest moment was the Aviva Stadium, my heart just…I couldn’t believe it. I was just in bits and when the end came and the cheers. That was my proudest moment.”

Performing in LA can be tense but will Nadia’s nerves get the better of her as she heads home to sing at the Aviva stadium?

‘Nadia Goes to Hollywood’ airs on Wednesday 23rd April 2014 at 9pm on 3e.

You can catch ‘Nadia Goes to Hollywood’ again on Saturday 26th April at 4.25pm on TV3

Nadia’s debut single ‘BPM’ will be released on 3rd May 2014.

NOTES TO EDITOR:

About Nadia

Irish superstar Nadia Forde is not only a talented model and actress. She is also a versatile singer with a TV show about to air, documenting her rise to multi-platform stardom on the global stage. Stay tuned as all will be revealed in the TV documentary, ‘Nadia Goes To Hollywood’ coming to the screen in 2014.

One of Ireland’s top models and television personalities, Nadia has been in the limelight since an early age. Constantly grabbing headlines on tabloid front pages, from her high profile relationships to challenging escapades in Tinsel Town, the press and public can’t get enough of her. Nadia’s appearances on Ireland’s ‘The Late Late Show’, Irish morning television, nationwide radio stations, theatrical appearances at Dublin’s Tivoli Theatre, flexing her comedy muscles as a regular guest star on shows ‘The Republic of Telly’ and TV3’s top rated ‘Celebrity Salon’; as well as interviews in YOU, Life, Stellar and VIP magazine, have secured her status as Ireland’s sexy sweetheart. Her 2014 pin up calendar is already selling like hot cakes and Nadia recently sung the National Anthem at the Aviva Stadium before fifty thousand football fans.

2014 will see the Irish bombshell explode into new territories. Having recorded her first hit single for US release – catchy pop song Love Is In The Air, remixed by world famous David Aude who has close to a hundred number one remixes to his name - with a video directed by award winning Petro whose Girls Aloud and Ellie Goulding videos garnered him notoriety, Nadia is on the road to success. For Ireland and the UK, Nadia’s up-tempo and infectious dance hit BPM is being released as a double A side with a heart breaking and melodic acoustic song about having grown up without her mother - Haunted. The tracks are released in May in Ireland, and July in the UK.

Having just been followed by a TV crew in Hollywood, Nadia faced the creative ordeal of competing with LA’s finest to rise to the top… She managed to hurdle several challenges, finding herself thrown into opportunities that most people wouldn’t believe are possible. Music, acting, racing, romance and much, much more.
