Of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 which vanished off radar screens over two weeks ago.

In a mystery that continues to grip the world, TV3 will air a special documentary which will delve into the mysterious disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 which vanished off radar screens over two weeks ago.

Flight 370 took off from Kuala Lumpur with 239 people on board on the 8th March. Beijing was the destination but less than 30 minutes into the flight, communication was lost. 16 days later, and with over two dozen countries currently involved in the search, the world is still no closer to finding out what happened.

TV3’s hour-long documentary will examine the origins of the flight, its passengers and crew, the loss of communications and ultimately, ponder the question of what could possibly have happened one of the safest aircraft ever built – the Boeing 777.

There are endless theories from terrorism, incapacitated crew to suicide and the bizarre, but the latest satellite image from China has fuelled suggestions that the plane is in a remote stretch of the southern Indian Ocean. With ships being dispatched to verify the object, only time will tell if it is Flight 370.

Produced by Brian Foley and narrated by Mark Cagney, The search for Malaysia Flight 370 airs at 9pm on Tuesday 25th March on TV3.
