On tomorrow night’s episode of TV3’s brand new game show The Lie, best friend’s Denise and Nicola from Dublin attempt to spot the lie for big money. However this is not the first time the pair have had to do so; the pairs paths crossed when they dated the same man only to find out he had lied to them both. Both girls bonded over their mutual dislike of him and have been inseparable ever since!

Denise, a beauty therapist, has two children and says she’s knows all about lying. She always goes along with whatever impulsive Nicola lines up for them, which is quite a leap of fate.  It’s what led the girls to apply for The Lie! Denise is hoping to win enough money to re-carpet the stairs; Nicola on the other hand, has higher hopes.

Tomorrow’s episode also features mother and daughter Lisa and Caroline from Carlow who rolled over from Monday night’s episode. Civil partners Patrick and Dave from Arklow, Wicklow also take part in the episode.

The couple have been together for fourteen years and as well as being foster carers, they also have a background in theatre and media. David likes to mull over his answers, which drives an spontaneous Patrick wild, so their incessant bickering even raises a few chuckles from host Jonathan McCrea. Living together and working together means they certainly know each other very well, but will this give them the edge they need to win big on The Lie?

Tune in tomorrow night to see if any of this episode’s contestants walk away with the grand prize of €10,000, it all depends on whether they can keep their cool under pressure, choose their categories wisely and as always, spot the lie!

‘The Lie’ airs weekly on TV3 every Monday and Friday at 8pm.
