There really is a first time for everything - Vincent Browne has said yes to Taoiseach Enda Kenny. The TV3 broadcaster appeared on Late Lunch Live today and when presenter Lucy Kennedy pressed him on Mr Kenny’s invite to spend a week in his constituency with him, Vincent said yes live on TV.

The invite was first extended over 30 years ago in 1981, and was re-issued in a recent interview that Enda Kenny gave to Russia’s RTV, where Mr Kenny stated that the invite for Vincent to spend a week in his constituency still stood.

Lucy took the opportunity on Late Lunch Live to ask Vincent once and for all if it is something he would be willing to do, to which Vincent immediately accepted. The ball, it would seem, is now in Enda’s court!

Proving that underneath his tough exterior he really does have a sense of humour (kind of), Vincent joined in the fun during the show, taking part in a quiz and joking with presenters Lucy Kennedy and Martin King. However it wasn’t all fun and games when the tables were turned and Vincent got to question the Late Lunch Live hosts. He asked them what is the one thing they wouldn’t want anyone to know about their past and the fiery presenter was not letting them fob him off, forcing Lucy to reveal that she filmed a music video in the 90’s. Yes, a 90’s video!

Vincent Browne’s brand new, live topical discussion programme, THE PEOPLE’S DEBATE with Vincent Browne will air the first Wednesday of every month. The heated debate show will give the people of Ireland a platform to talk on important issues and voice their opinions in the media.

Viewers can apply for the first live show, airing Wednesday March 5th, by logging onto www.tv3.ie/thepeoplesdebate
