In the final episode of TV3’s biggest home produced show to date, Keith Barry: Brain Hacker, the world-renowned mentalist is rushed out of studio as his body is pushed too far in a dangerous stunt. Part six of the TV3 show centres around the world of the paranormal and Keith is eager to encounter something he has never before – a near death experience. Despite all medical advice, Keith freezes himself in a coffin of ice but when his body goes into shock, his heart stops and the stunt is terminated to save his life.

As the audience looks on in horror, paramedics rush Keith out of studio on a gurney to seek emergency medical attention. After spending 41 minutes encased in ice, Keith’s body went into shock and his heart stopped. Luckily a team of medical experts were on standby to regulate Keith’s body temperature and he regained his senses. However, following the dangerous stunt, Keith remained very ill for weeks after.

Speaking about the high risk stunt, Keith said: “I was shaking so much from, I guess, hypothermia and shock so everybody was just trying to talk to me to make sure I knew where I was which I didn’t really know exactly where I was in that moment in time.

“It was an experience for me and it was an experience, certainly for the people who were there. I believe that the people at home, if they look at it and extract themselves from the fact that it’s me on television, they will know in their heart of hearts that it really was real what happened on that day.”

In the final episode of the series Keith invites the spirit world into studio exploring Ouija Boards, Voodoo, shrunken heads and also attempts a mass séance with the studio audience and viewers at home.

Keith also invites David Gilna, the survivor of a lightning bolt strike, into studio to discuss his encounter with the other side. In an emotional interview, Keith brings David back to the day he almost died.

The final episode of ‘Keith Barry: Brain Hacker’ airs this Sunday 16th February at 9pm on TV3.

‘Keith Barry - Brain Hacker’ will be on tour nationwide from March 12th 2014.
